Jim Costello’s large, luminously colorful abstractions of the natural world are perfectly at home among the gracious rooms, high ceilings, deep moldings, and period furnishings of this early 19th century Greek Revival house. They enhance and enliven the interior as if the views from its windows have been invited to dine and allowed to dance upon its walls. They reflect not only the beauty of the Virginia countryside, but also its mystery, power, and poetry.
